The Spa

The SPA complex has been sympathetically designed to complement the other buildings on the estate. The SPA building is equipped with a state of the art (glass vacuum tube) solar and heat recovery, ventilation and filtration system to provide a comfortable temperature and humidity controlled environment.

    • The SPA building houses two changing rooms (each fitted with shower, toilet, wash basin, mirror and hair-dryer) a heated indoor swimming pool, a hydrotherapy pool, sauna, relaxation room, gym and two treatment rooms.

    Guests staying in the cottages have access to the SPA complex; at times there may be young children present in the swimming pool. Guests under the age of 16 are NOT PERMITTED to use either the Sauna or the Hydrotherapy Pool.

    Barton Court operates a private membership scheme for people in the local community; membership is based on either an occasional or monthly subscription and is open to people over the age of 16.

    The gym is equipped with a range of cardio-vascular and strength equipment. Access to the gym is controlled; you are required to attend a gym induction before you may use the facility. Guests under the age of 16 are NOT PERMITTED to use the Gym.

    The SPA complex closes at 21:00. The use of the SPA complex after 21:00 is forbidden, unless previously agreed with the owners.

    Indoor Heated Swimming Pool

    The swimming pool is 9m by 4m and 1.35m deep with a level bottom. The swimming pool water is continually filtered and maintained at a constant temperature of 30° celsius, the automatic chemical dosing systems allows a minimum level of chlorine to be used; this provides a perfect environment for a relaxing swim. Whilst staying at Barton Court children under the age of 16 are welcome to use the pool provided that they are supervised by a competent adult.

    Hydrotherapy Pool

    The Hydrotherapy SPA Pool water is continually filtered and maintained at 37° celsius, the automatic chemical dosing system allows a minimum level of chlorine to be used. The SPA accommodates up to six people and has dual water pumps. Guests under 16 are NOT PERMITTED to use the Hydrotherapy Pool.

    Sauna

    The Sauna is designed for a maximum of six people and is fitted with under-floor heating and a heat pipe that maintains the sauna at an elevated temperature, this enables the sauna to reach operational temperature relatively quickly. Guests under 16 are NOT PERMITTED to use the sauna.

    Gym

    As part of the Barton Court SPA facility we provide a fully air conditioned fitness gym, equipped with a multi-gym, upright bike, air resistance rower, cross trainer and treadmill, Access to the Gym is controlled; you are required to attend a short induction before using the facility. Guests under 16 are NOT PERMITTED to use the multi gym. A treatment room is also located in the gym area, providing holistic Beauty and sports therapy. Access to the Gym is controlled; you are required to attend a short induction before using the facility, children under the age of 16 are not permitted to use the Gym.     Pamper Days

    If you are looking for total relaxation and that ‘time for you’ then our Pamper Days should be top of your list. On arrival (around 10:00am) you are greeted with a selection of teas, coffees, soft drinks and biscuits, along with a tour of the facilities. We will discuss your personal programme for the day. Indulge yourself in the varied selection of Complementary and Holistic Beauty Therapies, you are then free to enjoy the tranquil surroundings and facilities. Your day includes use of robes and towels, 30 minute massage*, the heated indoor swimming pool, hydrotherapy pool, sauna and if you are feeling energetic, there is the fitness gym. A two-course lunch will be served around 1:00pm in the relaxation area or subject to the weather conditions on the outside patio. Enjoy your relaxing day before emerging into the world relaxed and pampered. *The 30 minute inclusive massage may be traded up to a different treatment -the 30 minute massage counts as £20.00 towards a traded treatment. Pamper Days are available - subject to availability. Pamper Days £60.00 per person. Additional treatments are extra.

    Barton Court Speciality - Bridal Showers

    Looking to celebrate in style with your friends and family? Our Bridal Shower days are a lovely way to do this. A combination of relaxation, a buffet style lunch and an inclusive 30 minute massage*, along with the use of the indoor swimming pool, hydrotherapy pool, sauna the use of towels and robes for the day. On arrival (around 10:00am) you are greeted with a selection of teas, coffees, soft drinks and biscuits, along with a tour of the facilities, we will then agree the treatment schedule for the day and give you time to relax and unwind. *The 30 minute inclusive massage may be traded up to a different treatment - the 30 minute inclusive massage counts as £20.00 towards the traded treatment. Bridal Showers are available all year round (subject to availability). Bridal Showers: £60.00 per person. Additional treatments are extra.

    Barton Court Bridal Shower, Celebrations & Pamper Breaks

    Barton Court offers a full SPA service to people who are staying on site. Please be advised that you are not permitted to bring Pamper Companies or alternative therapists on site to provide therapies in the cottages or SPA facilities. During your stay at Barton Court should you wish to indulge in "entertainment" or if you are looking to bring in a chef to provide catering services within the cottage please discuss your requirements with Barton Court before you arrive.
